I'm planning to buy a ssd which is the ADATA XPG SX8200 PRO and I've been wondering if it's compatible on my acer aspire laptop since most upgrades of my laptop are WD Green 256GB SSDs

Link for the SSD:

Acer Aspire E 14 (E5-476G-52N9)
Laptop Specs:
Intel Core i5-8250U
Nvidia GeForce MX150 with 2GB VRAM
2x4GB RAM @ 2400mhz DDR4
1TB Seagate HDD

Thanks in advance :)

    Hi,
Yes, most probably you can use a M.2 NVMe SSD, just to make sure, download and install HWiNFO64 free program, run it and check the Maximum Link width of PCI Express Root port 9, if it shows as 2x as in my snip, you can use that ADATA NVMe SSD in your laptop.

Do I need to buy a screw for the m.2 slot or does this acer laptop already have one?
also is the m.2 slot from the cpu lane or from the chipset lane?

Thanks for the reply tho :) Big help

Here's a pic of the PCI Bus:
Only the root port #9 has 2x and the port #1 has 4x

    Hi,
Yes, you can use a NVMe SSD, port1 is used by your graphics, port9 will be used by the M.2 SSD, as for the screw, you may have got it on the motherboard or not, you could buy from any laptop repair shop but I don't know the size or you can use a electrical tape to secure it like mine  =)
