Hello, I was thinking of upgrading my graphic card from GTX 970 to GTX 1080. I was wondering if it is possible? Is there any requirement for the graphic card?

My current model is Acer Predator G3-710
i7-6700 CPU 3.4 Ghz
GTX 970
The rest of specifics I am not really sure.

The PSU on it may be pushing it a little bit depending on the age of the unit. Sites like this try and suggest what should be the min:

500 watts should be able to run the standard 1080 but just drops beneath for a 1080ti. Its worth checking to see what power connectors your PSU has as well, as you may not have spare pci power conectors if your current is one 8 pin and one 6 pin as some 1080's are dual 8 pin
