Yes, but be aware the HDMI is v1.4 so 4K support will be at 30Hz, not 60Hz. That's not really a problem unless you are gaming. :)

I tried using the onboard UHD 630 with a 1440p ultrawide and Win10 could not recognize the ultrawide resolution of 3440x1440 regardless of refresh rate. Refresh rate was stuck at 30Hz even if I downgraded to 1080p. At that refresh rate, it was unusable even for productivity as the monitor had a visible lag on mouse cursor. A discrete GPU with Displayport fixed the problem.

So yes, the HDMI 1.4 that comes with the machine is pretty limiting on high res monitors above 1080p.

Spec on the UHD 630 says Max Monitor Resolution 4096×2304 pixels... Here's Acer's spec:

is the HDMI 1.4 an inherent limitation of the UHD 630 chipset or Acer's decision not to use HDMI 2.0 on the mobo? Hard to imagine in 2020 not able to use 4k60p in any modern desktop when HDMI 2.0 came out in 2013.

Edit: looks like a limitation with the UHD 630 chipset only supporting up to HDMI 1.4. Shame on Intel for bundling such an outdated chipset with their 2020 CPUs.

7th gen CPU/Chipset is a lot older than 2020... The new designs in 2020 were 10th gen, so three years newer. I believe Intel has gone with a much newer/better design for the 11th gens we'll be seeing this year.

10th gen CPUs still have the same UHD 630 iGPU inside. The 2021 Rocket Lake CPUs have the newer Iris Xe GPUs that should be a step function improvement over the UHD 630 from 2020.

Hi, I also have the same problem. I can only use 4K 30hz which is substandard. So, my only option left is to install a gpu. I was wondering if you knew a gpu that I could use in order to run 4K 60hz with HDR that would fit in the Acer tc-895. My monitor is the Asus Vg 289q monitor.
