My acer spin 713 shuts down when it runs out of battery without notifying me that the battery is low

I have looked for a setting that allows me to get a notification, but I haven't found one. Is this a known problem? How do I solve it? Do I need an app that will notify me when my battery is low? It's really bad when I'm in the middle of a video chat and my computer just shuts off!

These settings live in the power plan settings

    In Windows 10,
go to Start -> Power & sleep -> Additional power settings -> Change advanced settings -> Battery

There will be a number of settings in here which will do what you want, you can set the notifications, levels, and actions.

If these are set correctly check to make sure notifications are turned on
start -> notifications -> allow notifications

Let us know if that works :)

I don't have windows, it's a chromebook. Do you know if there are advanced power settings for chrome os?

The Power Settings for a Chromebook are found by searching for Power at the Settings menu. They don't look like they have options directly there for changing the notifications. You might try digging into those settings here. They are available, but might not be easy to change.

Thanks, but that article doesn't explain how to actually go about checking for the notification. Any tips?
