I have an Acer Aspire 5742-6977 laptop. It shows battery needs to be replaced. Where can i get one ? and can i use it without the battery Until i will get new one and Till how long can it use it directly On Ac power

    Hi,

     

     

    You can use a Notebook PC just with the AC-Adapter, without its battery attached. No problem. 

     

    For the battery. Go to Sim Lim Square take the escalator to level 2 then turn left. There is a shop that sells Notebook PC batteries. Ask other shops on level 2 if you cannot find the battery shop on level 2.

    Alrite thank you so much .

     

    N is it okay to use laptop with dead battery while its plugged in ?

    does it cause any leakage or something like that . even the battery is not that old.

    You might get away with leaving the dead battery in and suffer no damage.  However, why take the risk?  Remove the dead battery.
