My Son has a predator G3 desktop and just got him a used SK-9627 keyboard to use and its dead, nothing form it at all, no lights no response nothing.

I have another G3 and SK-9627 and I've plugged in that keyboard and its fine

Is there anyway to repair the keyboard or is it junk??

Cheers

Jim

Well, first step is the obvious... Has it got new batteries installed? :)

Are you plugging the keyboard and mouse into a USB hub? Or each component individually into the desktop USB's plugs? As if its a hub then look at the hub if all USB plugs work and are not overloaded with the SK-9627's keyboard and mouse. Otherwise, test the components like the mouse plug first if it works? And if that works then check the keyboards the same and check the USB plug if its faulty? Do a systematic check on the SK-9627 keyboard plug, cable of keyboard as its very hard to kill a cabled keyboard, there is no magic fix.

Plugged direct in to the PC not a hub, I know there is power to the USB as another keyboard works fine :(

Then likely there's a disconnect somewhere either in the cable or where the cable connects to the keyboard internals. I haven't been in one of those keyboards, so don't know how the connection is made...
