hi,

i have a new Predator Triton 300.

i am attempting to run sound through my speaker and wired headphones. I am getting nothing through my speakers at all, I have removed and re installed drivers from both Microsoft and ACER sources.

Right now i am able to get sound using a very cheap set of Bluetooth headphones but not through any other means.

any help out there as this seems to be a waste of a lot of money.

Default setting is to mute speakers when you plug in a pair of headphones.

Go to the various audio configuration apps (realtek audio console, waves, dts...) to see IF there is an option to do multiple streams.

even with everything unplugged and when i first started the laptop up , i would not get any sound through the speakers. i have literally nothing plugged in right now , it is set t realteak speakers,  and no sound at all.

Uninstall and reinstall the driver or check for a new driver, reboot your computer as that will reset all your sound settings and it should work, if it doesn’t then its either your headphone jack is faulty or the female plug jack at the laptop is faulty or at worst your sound part circuitry of your Triton 300 is faulty and needs replacing. Check all these things as sound components on a laptop are pretty reliable and if there is a problem there could be numerous reason for your problem(s). Do a systematic check and check things that way.

    hi all,

I got my Triton 300 ~2weeks ago and it's been working fine, but I totally lost the sound after a (presumably) windows update today. I read the previous suggestions and tried them one by one, but nothing has changed. the only way I get sound is to get connected via bluetooth (airpods).

I didn't force push any headphone jack and the female plug jack seems intact. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the realtek drivers after updating every single audio driver and it hasn't worked. there's an option to uninstall the device in the device manager->sound controller->realtek, but I didn't dare to do it lol

not sure if @whitey85 was able to get it fixed after the suggestions, but any further help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance for your help!

p.s. I tried to plug a dell monitor with a displayport cable earlier, but it didn't work. I know it's a long shot, but could it be that the laptop tried to use dell audio and got stuck there, although I can see realtek being the active audio option in the sound settings?

p.s.2 I saw a suggestion of disabling the audio enhancement, but when I click on it in the troubleshooter, I don't even see that tab in the sound settings. nothing related to "audio enhancement".

I see. I was quite keen to enjoy it during the holidays. now, I'll have to deal with returning it and wait for them to ship another one.

    thanks for letting me know!
