How did you create the install flash drive? Did you use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool or Rufus? Either of those should give you a bootable flash drive. Just copying the ISO file over will not be bootable...

Could you boot on a Windows install flash drive and use the Repair mode? Get into the command prompt and use diskpart to see what drives are attached, what volumes are active and what partitions are on the SSD? Let me know if you need instructions for those steps...

I have flash drive formatted with NTFS and tried to F12 to boot it always open connect BIOS or NoBootable Device error message.
Can you please give me the step by step instructions how to read USB drive to get get Repair mode?
and the boot order is empty and UEFI is grayed out
I tried to clean secure boot options and enabled F12 boot even it didn’t work.

I really appreciate if some helpful information to resolve the issue.

    thanks,

i hv got a similar issue and the reason is the 1tb sata hdd died. and its link to OPTANE with RAID. and i cant find ways to make the hidden option show inside BIOS to show so i could disable the RAID. CTRL S seems not have any effect....

Hi Billsey, Can you please share me BIOS settings to discover the boot flash drive? I tried with F12 boot enabled and clearing secure boot settings and UEFI boot mode disabled it was keep spins no booting, and tried F9 for default settings and tried then no bootable device found.

@Sambol I need you to answer the previous question, we could spend a lot of time trying to fix the laptop when the problem is the install flash drive is not bootable... :)

OK, if you have used the Media Creation Tool then the USB drive is likely correct. When you press F12 at startup are you presented with a boot menu? You need to choose the USB drive there or else it will continue to try and boot from the bad drive. If F12 doesn't do anything you likely have to go into the BIOS and turn the F12 boot menu on. If the boot menu comes up and the boot is actually starting from the USB but it fails to complete likely the USB drive itself is bad.
