Touchpad stopped working entirely without reason (laptop was on and being used - no updates).
Things I've tried:
- Installing new drivers
- T7 key with and without Fn
- Device does not show in Device Manager or BIOS (also after trying to install drivers)
- Restored previous Windows 10 update
- Installed all pending updates (incl. optional)

Please let me know if anyone has a clue or a tip!

If the F7 key doesn't help then it's likely not just turned off. Was the change sudden, or were you seeing squirrely stuff before it went fully bad? Sometimes when the battery is getting old it'll swell up some and that pushes on the touchpad from the bottom which can cause issues, but they're usually not sudden. Is there an entry under Human Interface Devices in Device Manager for a HID-compliant Touch Pad? If not it's possible the wiring has come loose. There's a ribbon cable that runs between the touchpad and the motherboard that goes through a couple of right angles to line up right.

Thanks for your reply, the laptop has been having some battery issues as well although the device is just one year old. The change was sudden though, nothing led up to the issue. There is no entry at all in the Device Manager for a touch-pad, I've checked all sections.
I'm not comfortable opening up the laptop and it still has a warranty so I'm sending it back to be fixed.
