Hi, I have a Swift 3 (model SF314-52-552X) with a 256gb Intel m.2 Nvme ssd. I would ask you if there is another slot for an ssd (Sata or Nvme) and, maybe, where i can find a screw for fix it on the mobo.
Thanks everyone will reply 🙏🏼

Hi, Good Morning! Find the Storage information of your unit below.

     Storage Subsystem

     Solid State drive

     M.2 2280 128GB/256GB/512GB SATA SSD (SATA 3.0)

     M.2 2280 256GB/512GB NVMe SSD (PCIe Gen3 x 4)

     eMMC

eMMC 32GB/64GB (support eMMC Rev. 5.0 or above, 153 ball design)

     SD card reader, supporting:

     Secure DigitalTM(SD), SDHC, SDXC

As per as the above specs of your unit, the unit has a SATA 3.0 M.2 SSD and also a NVMe SSD.

Also check the link below and check and for the RAM and SSD/HDD upgrades for your unit. They are Crucial and they guarantee compatibility with your exact model. Write down the part number for your reference and then order it from Amazon, it's cheaper and also has fast delivery. It is the most tested to be working.

The screw is the standard M2x3mm screw used for M.2 cards. It's nicer to find them with the wide head, but not needed since the standard ones are wide enough to hold the card in place.

    Hello Martin John

I'm new here and not so good with computer topics. After reading this thread, I've decide to add an extra ssd (exactly the same acer swift model like the title thread), and before buy it, this morning I opened up the laptop to be sure of the ssd model. Using the "speccy" I saw that my ssd is an Intel ssdpekkw256g7 wich is a PCIe NVMe.

In your post I see that my swift model has a PCIe + a SATA slot, but the empty slot seems to be another PCIe slot.

Do you think that is possible my pc has 2 PCIe slots instead 1 PCIe+SATA?

some pictures in the drive folder below.

    Thanks a lot

The two M.2 slots look the same, but one supports both SATA and NVMe, the other SATA only. There are four lanes of PCIe on one and only two on the other.

Thanks a lot. Bought today a m.2 sata 3 for the second slot and it's working perfectly
