Hi everyone.
A few days ago I bought an Acer Aspire A515-55G, i7 10th gen and NVidia, so pretty good specs for an university students and a casual gamer like me.
The problem is that I immediatly noticed that the fan almost never stops, even when on the desktop or just browsing, plus there is a noisy coil whine.
Can I know if the fan thing is normal or not? I m deciding  to substitute it, if it's an issue of my laptop (the coil whine could be), or change it back for another laptop if it's a recurring problem.
Looking forward to your answers (I still have approximately a week for the return or the change).

Normal. If the system seems to be functioning well but the fan and coil whine noises bother you, I suggest immediately returning it to the vendor for a refund or exchange before the vendor's RMA returns policy expires, usually only a few weeks. Jack E/NJ

@JackE Yeah, i asked for an exchange since the fan going during simple tasks really bothers me and i don't think it's completely normal. Maybe it's a consequence of the coil whine which is sometimes very audible too.
Also when i talk about the fan always going, I also mean that sometimes, even during simple tasks as i said, the fan starts going stronger as if the CPU is stressed. That's my biggest concern because the fan going quietly wouldnt be an issue to me but unfortunately that wasn't the case most of the time.

I think this is the best decision. Have you decided on what you will exchange it for yet?  The same model? Another model? Another manufacturer? Jack E/NJ

@JackE I m gonna exchange it for the same model. If I notice the same issue I m gonna return it for another model or get my money back and buy a laptop somewhere else. I hope it won't be the case because it would be annoying and because this laptop seemed good to me for the specs and for the mid-tier gaming and everyday tasks. I just don't think it's normal hearing a vacuum while I watch a lesson and sometimes during a yt video just because it has good specs right?

Agreed. Good luck with the exchange. But please let us know one way or the other how the exchange works out. Thanks. Jack E/NJ
