Hi folks,

I replaced the keyboard on my AOD255E not too long ago and noticed that the netbook doesn't go to sleep when the lid is closed. I can make it sleep when I press the sleep function key. Where is the lid switch located and is there a part number for it?

In case you;re wondering, the OS is Xubuntu 20.10. Power Manager is configured properly.

Many thanks for your help.

That's an oldie... :) I believe there's a button board near the front that holds those sensors:

Click on "Like" if you find my answer useful or click on "Yes" if it answers your question.

    Hi Billsey,
Thanks for your reply. I'll check out the button board.
Yes, the AOD255E is an oldie. However, max it out to 2G of RAM, install an SSD, and slap a lightweight Linux distro in and you have a very capable machine for basic everyday tasks. I love this thing.
