I updated using the Intel screen drivers. I can no longer dim my screen (or make it brighter) using the Fn+ Left/Right arrows. It also does not work using the Control Panel. Any Ideas?

Uninstall the new Intel driver and reinstall it in Device Manager and reboot, then try and go to Settings > Display > Brightness and colour and see if it works?

If that does not work then uninstall the Intel driver completely through “Control Panel > Uninstall a program > Intel graphics driver then reboot and reinstall the driver again. The Intel graphics drivers are very reliable and should not cause your problem, there must be a hardware problem associated with this problem like your screen

ty. i will try this. i hope it is not the screen, as it is only a few months old...

I deleted the driver via Device Manager. I re-started my Laptop. The Device Manger automatically put n an Intel UHD Graphics 630 driver. Screen looked real chunky. I installed an update I did not know was there in My  Nitro-Sense GeForce 'Experience' tab. I re-ran the Intel Command Centre - but it found 'No New Updates'.  Problem solved. Thanks everyone esp @ StevenGen
