Which OS did it come with originally? Which version of Windows 10 are you trying to install? Are you installing fresh or installing an update? Where does it fail?

@billsey thank you for your questions. It came with DOS installed. I am trying to install Windows 10 Pro and i am trying to install fresh. After the first BIOS screen (with Acer logo) it displays an error right after 5 seconds.

Sorry for the slow response, I got too busy yesterday building a new server and didn't get a chance to monitor here. It looks like the smallest drive they shipped the Aspire A315-56 with was 128GB, so space isn't an issue. My first guess is that the drive is configured for MBR instead of GPT, since it was setup for DOS. Use the repair tools in the W10 install to get into the commend prompt, then diskpart, then convert the disk to GPT. Restart the install and make sure all partitions are wiped from the drive then tell the installer to use that unallocated drive for the installation. It will create the needed partitions and you should be good to go. Let me know how it turns out and we'll dig deeper if needed.

Thank you for your feedback and sorry for responding late. i have just installed Win 10 on a separate HDD and replaced this HDD with the current HDD on the laptop and it worked fine. There might be some issues with the HDD.

Yeah, if you have an external case you could boot up then add it as an external and use Disk Management to wipe the partitions and create a new one that could be tested to see if the problem is something you can work with.
