Why does my active pen stylus intermittantly work? ConceptD CC314-72G

We just purchased a couple of new ConceptD 3 Ezel series CC314-72G and right off the pen doesn't work on one of them. We assumed it was charge related and so allowed it to charge, but
after a week the pen still only intermittently works and thus can't be relied upon. The laptop is currently up to date with the latest updates from the Acer support page.
So far we are somewhat displeased with this experience as the pen is the primary reason we bought these laptops. I'm sort of wishing we would have gotten the Lenovo Flex 5 as its both cheaper and I suspect its active stylus actually works and was tested prior to leaving the factory unlike this one. Any ideas would be most helpful.

Does the issue follow the pen or the computer? Try the pens on both systems to see.

Weve isolated the issue down to the pen. If you hit it (thump with finger or tap on desk) it occasionally starts working again for about 10 minutes or so.
Is there any process for cleaning it or calibrating it perhaps? Or can we just buy a new pen? If so, what is the part number that we need to order and where can we order it?

Oh gosh, I just noticed that no Acer staff actually participate in these support forums, I'll direct this question to the support contact if I can find it. I would not expect the other customers to be handling support for a new product, though helpful, that just seems in bad taste.

Yes, contact Acer support and they'll get you fixed up. I wonder if the spring holding the battery in place might be ... less than springy, causing bad contact.

Thats certainly seems possible. I was not aware that it had a spring loaded battery. We may get brave here and attempt to disassemble it. I'll keep you posted.
