Hi,

I have a Aspire A715-71G-58TH, and I'm wondering if it has a m.2 ssd slot available with NVMe support. I read on some sites that it has, with up to 512GB of memory.

Is that true ? How to trust it ?
I couldn't find any document stating it, nor any post in the forum (found only some for other A715-71G devices...)

Thanks!

    @Balatekie thanks for that.
    Still, this pretty much looks like a copy/paste from a website I saw earlier. May I ask you where you found this ?
    By now I assume that somehow you have to trust the guys who did the dirty work of opening the notebook's case and posted it on some website. Am I right ?

    Anyway, at least the hardware seems compatible; do you know if my BIOS as any chance of supporting NVMe ? Putting the OS in there could be nice too.

    @sn0wFox There is no confirmation of  supporting NVMe, after change of BIOS. Computer model
    A715-71G-58TH comes with Windows 10 OS default.

    @Alia5 You can register your product or simply use your serial number on https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support, then click on the Product details item at the bottom of the list on the left of your screen.

    However, this will lead you to a very basic datasheet, the kind you find on the sellers' websites. Don't expect to find advanced data. In my case, it just states that I have a HDD of 1GB with SATA interface, not the maximum capacity nor the fact that apparently I have a m.2 slot available.
    Hope this helps.

    @Balatekie Alright, guess the best way to know is still to open the case and put it in there.
    Thanks!

    @Balatekie i have the same laptop a715-71g-58th and i want to put an ssd inside. You're the only one how spoked about thé subject on thé web. I've searched if thé same référence you've indicate but only found "ssd M.2  PCIe NVME 2280 512go" . Ils this référence correct for m'y laptop ?
