I have an MX-150 and a i7-8550U with an Intel UHD 620. I have an external monitor which is 21:9 UWQHD 100hz(AOC CU34G2).
When I run my Monitor with full resolution, I can only get 30fps. But my MX-150 with HDMI-2.0b should be able to output almost 100hz.
I have updated both drivers from the acer driver download and installed. When I try to open the NVIDIA Control Panel it says that there is no nvidia graphics card conneted to the current display.
When I disable the Intel UHD in the device manager and I reboot, then I can only use the laptop monitor. So it makes sense that the Intel UHD is used to power the external monitor and only is capable of putting out 30fps.
So how can I use my MX-150 for the external monitor via the hdmi port? I have tried all solution I could find online, like updating drivers, insalling the drivers from acer, ...

Where'd you get the HDMI cable? Some cheap ones from HomeDepot are made for TVs and only yield 30Hz refresh rates. Jack E/NJ
