Acer Predator Helios 300(2020) PH315-53 screen is going blank. Is there a way i can fix it?

Ive recently bought this laptop from flipkart, and it worked fine for 4-5 days and one day it suddenly went blank while i was watching youtube. Then i pressed the power button for 10 secs and it did a soft reset. The screen worked completely fine after that, but again after few hours it went blank, this time i tried the method mentioned above but this time the laptop did turned on with a blank screen. After an hour i tried it again and worked fine but only for few minutes.
I tried updating the display adapter drivers but no use.

    I think it could be a hardware failure and suggest you return it for a replacement if it's possible because a new laptop shouldn't have this problem, it may have come from a bad batch.

    It worked fine for 4-5 days, what must be the problem?

  • it's difficult to tell, you have already tried updating the driver and battery reset without any luck, it could be a loose display cable or a faulty panel but you shouldn't try investigating as you will void the warranty on this new laptop, hence my suggestion of returning it for a replacement, if it's not possible, you have to get it serviced by Acer Support centre in your country.

    i dont think the problem is with the display, cuz when i turned it on and entered the bios, it was working(like the screen didnt turn blank for more than an hour or so), also could this be the problem with bios, cuz most of the units come with v1.06 but mine came with v1.01.
    should i try updating the bios or should i contact acer as i have an on site warranty for manufacturing defects.
  • I would suggest you use the on site warranty because updating BIOS has an extreme chance of bricking the laptop and I would certainly don't recommend at the moment, if the technician suggests the BIOS update, let him carry out the update.
