Hi, I have this issue where my GPU fans don't run even on high temperature (going to max speed does nothing for the gpu fan, but still works for the cpu fan). I've already tried opening and cleaning the fans but they still do not work.

Can someone help me with this? I don't want this computer to die and I cannot bring it out because of the pandemic

There are random times where it turns on again (I do not know what triggers this because I only do the same tasks as any other day) and works the entire time the pc is still on, but stops working again once I restart (or if I turn CoolBoost on and off) so I can confirm that the fan module itself is still functioning.

Does the fan make some weird noises while running? U should check again if the plug connecting the gpu fan is plugged in properly or is not loose.

Yes, I replugged it after opening my machine. It still does the same thing even before I opened it where it only turns ON at random times (like once a week).
I do notice that the laptop makes slight vibrations (but not too irritating for me) that I can feel on my desk when the GPU fans do turn ON.
Is my only option left to go to a repair shop?

If vibrations and all occur then mostly the fan is gone so u should go for a repair. U cant try one thing that is to interchange the cpu and gpu fans. But am not sure if the voltages for both fans are the same so idk if its a good idea to do that. U can confirm from someone else.

That's what happened to me, but for cpu fan. I sent it for repair 2 months ago, I still have not received it. If you live in Uk and need your laptop daily you better not send your laptop cuz they ain't give it to you soon.

I see, thanks for your replies. I'll have to give lighter loads to my laptop until I am able to have it repaired in person.
