After owning an Acer desktop since 2010, the latest Windows update (Oct. 10, 2020) bricked it.  Trying to register my new Acer.  When I typed in the serial number ID, the response is 'computer is already registered'.  Say what?  I had to look up the SNID so that I could type it in, so how could it already be registered?  Did the Win10 setup automatically do this?  I checked with 'answers' and others have had this same thing happen.  Anyway, the main question is, is there a way to view my computer registration data (my name, computer model, SN, etc.) on the Acer website?  Just wanted to make sure it is correct.  Thanks!!

Was the machine a demo unit from the retailer or a refurb? Typically the only users who can see anything like that kind of data are either Acer employees or the original user who did the registration...

Thanks for the reply!  Welllll....This one is on me...I called Acer tech support (1-866-661-7100) and a very nice gentleman assured me that the computer was registered to me.  He completed the on-file data with additional information, such as my phone number.  So lol, cue the Twilight Zone theme music...I'll just put it down to a mystery that ended well.

Heheh, if it were me I'd attribute it to typing 'skills'. :)
