I want to extend my ram by 8gb and repaste my acer nitro 7. I wanted to know if these facilities are available at local acer care centers and if not then, if I get it done by third party will it void warranty, I know repasting will void the warranty but what if I get ram extended by third party will it void warranty too…??

The Nitro 7 (e.g. a Nitro 7 AN715-51 which you haven’t quoted) usually takes a max ram capacity of 32GB at max 16GB per slot (it has 2x ram slots) and usually takes 2666MHz (PC4-21300) 1.2v SODIMM type ram. If you want to upgrade and/or add an extra 8GB to your OEM ram then have a look at your OEM spec ram with CPUz at “Memory” and “SPD” sections for your exact OEM specs and make sure that the additional ram (8GB like the one you want to add) is of similar speed and timing to your OEM, also, matching the manufacturer does not matter but is preferable.

The repasting shouldn’t void your warranty as you are only opening the back cover and undoing screws and not physically altering and/or modifying your laptop but, make sure that you are not breaking any seals that Acer has anywhere inside your laptop. The best paste I would suggest that you use is the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme that is their newest high heat paste and repaste using the “Pea Dot” method.

I know everything you said brother, I just had a confusion regarding this topic and as a matter of fact I have one of the screws holding bottom covered with warranty sticker stating warranty void if broken, So can I somehow go around it??
