hi everyone, just want to ask about my laptop's battery life. I'm using Acer Aspire 5 A514-53-31JZ, is this the same with the other aspire 5 models? anyways, just want to ask what power mode should I use? and also I just noticed that the battery life indicated that it was already 100% 12 hrs remaining after I charged it, then after a minute it turned 99% 10 hrs remaning. is my battery broken? and how many hours should I charge it? ang last hehe sorry so many questions, can I use it while charging? thank you in advance!  :)

A balanced power mode is probably a good all around setting in ControlPanel. You might get more battery remaining time with power saver mode but the laptop might be slower. You can definitely use it while charging, no harm at all. Jack E/NJ

The battery time remaining meter is only a rough estimate that changes every few seconds depending on how many programs are running and power used every few seconds. If a lot of power is being used at one instant, the time remaining will drop a lot, say from 12hrs to 10hrs assuming the power remains higher. Then a few seconds latter if the power is lower, the time remaining may actually go back up to 11hrs assuming the power remains lower. So you may see this meter time jumping around a lot depending  on how much power is being used at the instant the time remaining is  being estimated. This is entirely normal and expected behavior. Nothing seems wrong with your battery. Jack E/NJ
