new monitor has screen flicker at 144hz but not 120 ?

my new 24 inch vxo  model monitor has extreme screen flickering at 144hz and even worse at 165hz but not at 120hz . It still happens with freesync turned off . im using a 1070 gpu. Any suggestions please ?

    i guess ACER HAS NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT

    Did you try to contact Acer support? This is a peer to peer community help board and you'll only get responses from other users. If no one else has seen the same issue then you will likely not get a response at all. I haven't seen your problem, but would look at the cable first. Cheap or old cables can often cause artifacts when pushing the boundaries.

    @billsey yes ive contacted them but no reply...  i actually bought a new cable but still i get screen flicker at 144hz, ive tried to set it to 144 in nvidia control panel and windows . i run a gtx 1070 gpu and 144hz worked fine on my 27inch acer tn panel but not my new 24inch xv model

    Most flicker issues I've seen here that were solved, were solved by a better cable. I don't know about overclocking to 165Hz, but 144Hz should be clean with a good enough cable.

    Ive seen in other threads Acer monitors have this issue . I guess they are just ***** at making monitors, ive sent it back and am buying Alienware
