Aspire GX-781 won't turn on

When I switch the outlet on, all devices connected to the PC seem to get power. E.g. Microphone and monitor turn on. The red light at the front of the PC also starts flashing once every 5-6 seconds. However, none of the other parts inside the PC seem to be starting up. Should I send it to a repair center? If so, how much do repairs usually cost? I'm kind of tight on money right now.

I forgot to add that this started happening a day ago. I have had the PC for around 3 years if memory serves me. Hopefully, I've provided ample info.

Have you heard the normal single beep at boot up? Or it won't even beep. I believe most PC problems are connection related.
If you are not afraid of opening up the PC and do the checking, I would suggest you to do it.
Pay attention for loose connections. Unseat connectors and reinsert them back firmly.
Check the memory sticks in particular. Keep one memory stick at a time for testing purpose.
If these steps cannot solve your problem, then bring it to a repair man. Who knows how much he will charge you.
Get an estimate from him first before committing the repair.

Thanks for answering. I have not heard a single beep or boop. I did open it up, however. I didn't find any loose connections. I even replugged what I think was the memory stick? It's the rectangular chip being held down by two clips, right? I made sure there was a 'click' when I clipped it back in. Guess it's time I let a repair man look at it?

Yes, from what you described, those are the memory sticks. Sometimes a bad memory stick will cause problem similar to your PC's problem. Previously, I suggested you to test it by using just one memory stick at a time. Don't know whether you have tried that.
If you have tested all sticks individually and still have the problem, then it is time to contact the repair man.

BTW, would you happened to put the PC in sleep mode by accident
One more thing  you can do is to press and hold the PC button  for 20 seconds when power up, see what happen
Also, you can try disconnect the AC power supply to the PC and leave it detached for a few hours and plug back in and boot.
    Good Luck!

First press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, release the button and then try again to turn it on normally.

I did what you guys suggested. It is definitely not in sleep mode. I have also disconnected the power supply, left it for a few hours and tried plugging it back in. Nothing changed. Same red blinking light. So, I decided to send it to a repair center to get it checked. Thanks for the suggestions, though! If I remember and not lazy, I'll post an update on what the issue was. Hopefully it will help someone with the same problem in the future.
