I recently bought an Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-52RJ which comes along with a 1TB HDD . I will wan to ADD an m.2 SSD to boost its speed without taking out the HDD
1. does my laptop have a built in SSD slot for such upgrades/additions
2. which exact type must I buy as I’m not really good with electronic devices . (Want to shop online via eBay as the prices are affordable)
thanks in advance all
(I’m new here so sorry if I didn’t get anything right)

Hi,
You can use the one in the link, it's NVMe SSD and the other with two groves is a M.2 SATA SSD which is a bit slower than the NVMe SSD.

Thanks for the reply Genius 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾So the take home is
1. BOTH TYPES of SSD (different groves/MOUTHS) ARE COMPATIBLE WITH MY BRAND OF ACER LAPTOP??
and
2. You’ll recommend the the SSD with ONLY ONE GROVE/“MOUTH” because it’s faster and will work perfectly on my laptop ?? (Seeking clarity as I haven’t opened the laptop before so want to be 100% certain that EITHER TYPE IS COMPATIBLE before proceeding to confirm purchase)0 -
You are welcome
1. Yes, both are compatible.
2. Yes, I would suggest a M.2 NVMe SSD preferably from Samsung.0 -
Thanks for the advice and support mate . I feel lucky to have met you . 😇😇😇
Now I’m certain about the purchase
If I can be “Oliver Twist” for a LAST TIME , what is the difference between NVMe SSD and M.2 SATA SSD ???0 -
No problem, M.2 NVMe SSDs are slightly faster than M.2 SATA SSDs but under normal workload you will notice any huge difference between them, if you transfer large files very often, you will benefit by installing a M.2 NVMe SSD.
