Hello, just want to ask if KINGSTON A2000 M.2 NVMe with a specs of PCIE 3.0 x 4 lanes is compatible to my ACER ASPIRE E14 E5-476G with laptop specs of PCIE 3.0 x 2 lanes?
I see most of SSDs are PCIE 3.0 x 4 lanes, and most of laptops are 3.0 x 2lanes. Just want to verify everything. Thank you so much!

Should be compatible. But NVMe cards can sometimes be finicky compared to SATA3 cards. With 2 lanes it should work at twice SATA3 speeds, not at its full potential of four times SATA3 speeds. So yes, it should work at half its full speed potential. Jack E/NJ

It should be compatible and with two link widths in your machine be about twice as fast as a SATA3 card. Four link widths would've been about four times as fast as a SATA3 card. Jack E/NJ

So is it compatible? I read some comments everywhere that it's okay to install as long as it's PCIe ver 3.0. Getting PCIe 3.0x 4 lanes SSD when your laptop specs are PCIe 3.0 x 2 lanes will get half of it's actual speed.

Sorry no. Your mainboard does not have an m.2 socket to for an NVME or SATA m.2 ssd  Jack E/NJ
