Hello guys, i have an acer nitro 5 laptop and 2 of my USB ports don't work with external hard drive. Only one port is able to open any external hard drive, but the other two port that are unable work fine with flash drives and mouse, is it a common thing with all acer nitro 5 or is it just my laptop? If it's just my laptop then i need help please

Which one of these are not working?

    Number of USB 2.0 Ports - 2

    Number of USB 3.0 Ports - 1

    Number of USB 3.1 Gen 1 Ports - 1

I assume you are trying to connect USB 3 drive  (which for whatever reason is not backward compatible with USB 2 port) in USB 2  port, right?

The funny thing is the port 3.0 is the only port on the Left so i even tried connecting my mouse together with a flash on the two Ports on the right, the flash will disable the mouse and the mouse will stop working

boot a Linux live distro and see if it behaves the same, if yes then the MB or the I/O board with the two USB2 ports is showing defects.
