Hi. I have bought an "Aspire V5-573G-74508G1" which has 8 GB RAM default I want to add another ram for it. how much ram it will support? I want to add another 8 GB RAM is it possible? ( because there is another v5-573 version which has 4G RAM by default and that only can support 12GB RAM in total )( so can I have 16G RAM in total ?)

    Hi,
This model comes with 4GB on-board memory and a slot with removable RAM, so you need to install CPU-z and check the combination in your laptop, if it comes with 4GB on-board+ 4GB removable module, you can upgrade the 4GB to 8GB to make the total RAM of 12GB.

  • Yes, unfortunately it's the only option available to you.

    Hi everybody
Its an old topic but still relevant for me, because in 2020 I finally want to upgrade my old aspire;)
Does anyone upgraded the v5-573g successfully to 12GB and can recommend a ram-module?
And what about the thing you sometimes hear that ram-modules of different sizes (here 4 + 8GB) slow down the system? Did this occur to you?
    Thanks so much

    Hi amanam .
Yes I've upgraded it successfully to 12GB and also I added a M.2 SSD type drive to it ( now it has 2 HDD) .
Also for more information I used Mini Display port at the back of lap top to add third monitor to it and it is working ( so we have can two external monitor one with HDMI and one with MiniDisplayPort ).
Still one of the best laptop ever.
