I tried doing a windows 10 reset to fix my touchpad. Sadly when it said it would delete all apps, I did not think it would delete all of acer including the bios. How can I fix this? I cannot find the recovery CD.

OK. This model originally came with Win8.1. The original ACER apps are still on a hidden Win8.1 recovery partition on the hard drive --- not a separate recovery DVD ---- that unfortunately may no longer be accessible due to the Win10 upgrade (or downgrade as some might say). If the ACER apps are important to you, you can try to recover them by pressing and holding the ALT key while tapping the F10 key immediately after turning the machine on. A Win8.1 recovery screen may or may not appear. If it does appear, you can reset the machine to a factory fresh Win8.1 state that will include all the original ACER apps. You can then decide if you want to stay with Win8.1 or upgrade (or maybe downgrade) once again to Win10. Jack E/NJ

Well windows 8.1 recovery did not appear. Now my computer isn't able to fully start, gets to the acer screen and then tries to repair itself without success

Go to this link to create a Win10 USB installation pendrive. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Then insert the pendrive. Then turn the machine on and immediately tap the F12 key. A menu should appear to allow you to boot from the pendrive and re-install Win10. If you still want the ACER software, it can be re-installed in Win8.x or Win10 flavors from this link https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/5390?b=1
