I'm in Canada, and bestbuy is having a really good sale on this monitor for $220CAD. https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/acer-27-1440p-wqhd-75hz-5ms-gtg-ips-led-monitor-cb272u-smiiprx-black/14763272

On that website it says the monitor is 5MS response time, and doesn't say anything about Freesync.

On the Acer website https://www.acer.com/ac/en/CA/content/model/UM.HB2AA.005

The same laptop (with the same model name) except it is black rather than silver.. It does say that it is freesync, and if you scroll down it says it is 1MS response time. I am wondering if that is why there is a $130 price difference? Or if the monitor at bestbuy is freesync and is actually 1MS response (Which would be great).

Thank you !

Its weird, On best buy, it says that it has a 5ms response time while on the acer website it says 1ms AND THAT IS THE ONLY DIFFERENCE! It might not seem like much but if u use it for gaming 1ms is WAAAAY better.

In general you can be more certain the specs are right on the Acer site than on a vendor's site. In both cases the model number is CB272U smiiprx (the last bit is the most important) so they are the same. Believe Acer's specs and purchase from the cheaper vendor. If what they ship you is not that exact model number they list, then come back on the vendor.
