I bought this monitor at Microcenter to upgrade my Acer Predator 27" 1440p.  The first couple of weeks were great, but then one day my CMOS was reset after upgrading some memory.  The computer would not show the post screen/bios.  Only after turning everything off, unplugging the power, and replacing the Display Port cable with HDMI could I get into the BIOS.  From thereafter multiple inquiries online, I found that I had to enable CSM and set Boot from UEFI devices before I could again replace the HDMI with Display Port and access BIOS or Windows with that cable (which is caple of the higher refresh rates).

I'm not sure what is causing this, but this is the only monitor I've ever had this type of issue with.

My relevant specs
Asus X570 Impact ITX board
AMD 3950x
2 500mb PCI-E 4.0 NVMe drives in Raid 0
4 1tb PCI-E 4.0 SATA drives in Raid 0
Display Port 1.4 cable
HDMI 2.0 cable

This is compatibility issue between motherboards and displayport, there are others monitor and motherboard manufactures got same issue, I don't think there are others solution except what you've did (change HDMI, change BIOS settings).
