    I had the same problem. Here is how I resolved it:
     1. Enable the keyboard and/or the mouse to wake up the laptop in Device Manager:
         * Open Device Manager (use the search box)
         * Click on "Keyboards"
         * Right-click on "HID Keyboard Device" (you might have more than one - you'll have to go through all of them)
         * Select "Properties"
         * Click on the "Power Management" tab. In case there is no "Power Management" tab, move to the next keyboard
         * Check the "Allow this device to wake the computer" check-box, if it isn't checked already
         * Press "Ok"
         * Repeat the above steps for the "HID-compliant mouse" under the "Mice and other pointing devices" in Device Manager
         * Close Device Manager
    2. Reboot and press the F2 key to enter BIOS
        * Go to the "Main" tab
        * Scroll down to the "Wake on USB while lid closed" setting and change it to "Enabled"
        * Save the settings with F10
    3. Reboot, close the lid, put the laptop to sleep and check to make sure that the keyboard and/or the mouse will wake it up.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,
    I don't have either "Wake on USB while lid closed" in the Bios or "HID compliant" options in Device Manager. Any  other ideas?
