having issues with your Nvidia card Triton 500

So I believe i figured out what the issue was, at least on my model. When i connected my laptop to the TV via HDMI, i noticed i still got a signal and everything worked fine. I checked the connector NOT ON THE MOTHERBOARD, but on the display itself and found it to be a bit "off". What i believe is causing issues for some is that, the display cable isn't long enough to make proper connection to the display. When i tried to take off my display, i accidentally broke it and it began to give me some lines; i purchased a new replacement screen with the 40 pin connector closer to the cable, and when i installed it, all the issues went away. When i took apart the laptop, i reglued the display cable to give it more slack, and the issue went away entirely. No more crashing in games, screen shutting off after sleep, or boot loops!! I ended up selling that laptop and getting a new one and noticed that it had a similar issue in that the cable is just BARELY long enough to make contact to the display connector, so i did the same thing and gave the cable some slack just to be sure.
My guess is that the the reason some PT515-51 models are crashing is because Acer didn't do proper cable management. It WAS a combination of software and hardware issues with my model, so i suggest taking a look at the display connector and seeing if you've got enough slack, because if it isn't making proper contact, the machine will end up freaking out.
