Updated my BIOS, now the boot time takes forever Swift SF314-41

I accidentally updated my bios to the latest version (v1.07) available for my Acer Swift SF314-41 and now booting/restarting takes around 1:50seconds. It usually boots for only around 10seconds especially since I the SSD to Samsung 860 500gb Evo. I've read that you can't roll back on BIOS updates. Is this true and am I stuck with this long boot time forever?

Hi guys, thank you so much for the replies. Since then, I reformatted the laptop. The BIOS version is still 1.07 but it went back to 10secs after the initial installation. By then, I pretty much figured out the cause is probably a virus, software, or something else but definitely not the BIOS.
As I install my previous apps, I keep restarting to see which one does the delay. It turns out it was the AMD Radeon Software. I do not know why, I do not know how but installing the software slows down the computer, and uninstalling it reverts it back to normal.
In the end, I just opted not to install it. As I don't really feel the need for the app.0

Most likely there is something else causing the hang... Where does it appear, before the logo shows, during the juggling balls, when the screen goes blank, while logging in?

Acer Swift SF314-41Same here, it was booting in 10 seconds before BIOS update but now it takes 1:50 mins. in juggling balls!

Well, when the delay is during the juggling phase the issue is in Windows. Typically that type of delay is either because Windows thinks the drive might have an error or it's trying to load a network resource that's not available. Try running a Disk Check on the C: partition and use Disk Management to make sure the EFI and Recovery partitions aren't assigned a drive letter. Also make sure that you don't have a network share mounted as a local drive.

Firstly, a BIOS updates should only be done for the specific titled issue(s) and reasons as Dantalian21 the BIOS version 1.07 is for and as its titled “Updates brightness table setting” and not for just and to have the latest BIOS version, as you don’t need it if it’s causing you problems as it has nothing to do with your “Boot Time” or should cause any issues with Boot Time”! This is very strange that “Issue resolves immediately when BIOS downgrades. Issue is totally caused by new BIOS not by Windows”?
How about upgrading your graphics driver and/or looking at other issues of RAM, SSD or maybe enable “TRIM” command in Win-10 to speed up your SSD as that could be a factor. Just remember that the TRIM feature allows Win-10, or any supported operating system, to notify an SSD which blocks of data are no longer in use and can be safely wiped out to be writable again. Having this operation done ahead of time improves performance, as the drive won't have to spend time erasing a particular block when space is needed to store new data, ensuring the SSD reaches its advertised lifespan. I really cannot understand why you are trying to improve Windows performance while the issue is totally related with new BIOS! And second thing, BIOS update forces automatically... And third is TRIM is enabled by default. Please, please, please suggest a valid suggestion or solution...
Here is the suggestion for how to downgrade BIOS and prevent it to be updated again but this is not acceptable workaround!

Except that Acer is pretty lazy about writing down what those BIOS updates are for.
We know that there are half a dozen Meltdown/Spectre related security vulnerabilities that require BIOS updates to patch the vulnerabilities. Aside from the initial Meltdown/Spectre webpage, there is basically zero talk about later securities BIOS patches from Acer. Even if Acer manages to say the 3 magical words --- update Intel ME --- 99% of the general population would not know that it means a security patch to fix yet another meltdown/spectre variant.
So we all have to assume that every single BIOS update in the last 3 years have some sort security patches.0 -

Wow, boot time is now only 7 seconds after removing AMD Software...0 -
I have an AMD Radeon Graphics (integrated) on my sf314-42. Everytime that there is a newer version, I always try it to see if there will be improvement in the performance. I have no problem on it regards booting time.0
