Screen view/print compatibility

Have a V5 purchased Feb 13 replacing an old Toshiba PC, used with an Epson SX435W printer. I print photos and had no problem prior to using the V5. Now, screen view and print colour differ (greener - more yellow). Both devices seem to be using sRGB. Camera is Pentax SLR. I use GIMP for editing. Anybody know how to calibrate monitor/printer without having a PhD in digital photography and computer science?

Smiley Sad Sorry that I can't help with your frustrating hues difficulties.

I don't believe that PhDs are granted in Digital Photography.  If they are, I could not in good conscience recommend that institution as a center for learning. PhDs are granted in Computer Science. However PhDs are restricted to a narrow field of original research.  Unless that research is in methods of visual display and reproduction of colour data, it would be of little use to you.

Perhaps you should consider doing an Internet search for relevant solutions.
