AUTO SHUTDOWN ACER ASPIRE 4740

My above laptop shutdown by itself suddenly about 30-45 minutes after running. Can anybody assist to give some advise to solve the problem.

I was having a similar problem and it was an overheating issue. First check the CPU cooling fan for obstructions.
In my case the heat sink compound between the CPU and the heat sink had dried up, so I applied a new coating of compound and haven't had any problems since.

I have a similar problem but i guess thermal compound can sustain for a short time. Mine is a brand new and how come it auto shutdown? probably, it has to do with the mother board that comes with factory defects.
