I purchased an Acer Spin 3 (SP314-54N) laptop last week. I am facing a screen flickering problem sometimes when I use. The screen goes black and then back again quickly repeated several times. Sometimes it lasts for a while and then disappear. Today, I finally had to open the task manager and then restart to fix the problem. Could anyone please help. Thanks

Does it connect to moving the screen? It might be an issue with the cable that goes between the motherboard and the screen, though the hinge area. If not, does it match up with any applications you are using? If the app is changing screen resolution, like some games do, it gives a brief blank screen during the change. If it's completely random than I'd suggest swapping the unit out with your vendor, that'd be a faster fix than going through the Acer warranty process.

Checked with the local vendor from whom I purchased the laptop, unfortunately they do not take it back as its more than seven days (I purchased the laptop on 12 September)
Laptop is used by my daughter for online learning. I don't think the issue is related to any movements and as she mostly keep the laptop on the table and seldom move around. Chrome browser and Zoom are the apps she use for learning.
I have two other Lenovo laptops which are used by my other children and works smoothly without any issues. The is the first time I am buying an Acer laptop and disappointed  :( with the product issue. Continuously flickering screen is damaging the eyes too. Any help is appreciated to fix the problem.

Darn, most vendors give 30 days for a return... Contact Acer support and get a ticket started. Hopefully the flickering isn't application caused so they'll be able to see it happening too.

Went to the service center today. They want me to leave the laptop with them before they can come up with a diagnostic report. Unfortunately I do not have another spare laptop that can be used during this time while it is with the service center.
This support process is quite odd as most other laptop brands provide online trouble shooting. And if they need to do some diagnostics, provide you with tools that can be run on the laptop and reply back to them with the result. And if they find fault with any of the hardware, they order them instantly and you only need to go the service center just to replace them.
Disappointed again within the Acer support process. Is there any Acer moderators here who can help me online to trouble shoot this issue.

My Swift does the exact same thing, and from what I can tell, it's a software bug somewhere. If it was something up with the connection, it should only be cutting out when the device is being moved or something. Movement, shaking, etc. does not have any impact on it at all. There are no specific actions on the computer that causes it, either. The latest updates may have fixed it though because I haven't had this problem in a long time... not since I reinstalled Windows from the cloud.
