Hello. I have a Nitro 5 an515-42 laptop. I recently installed a SSD on my laptop & did a fresh windows installation on it. Earlier the games used to run fine. But now any game, old or new, running on any graphics settings lags after every 10-12 seconds. I don't what is causing the problem, the SSD or something else.
The battery settings  are turned to maximum performance. Graphics settings are also turned to dedicated graphics.

What else to do ?

Firstly, is your Nitro 5 an515-42 have or is using the OEM ram of 1x 8GB DDR4 SODIMM stick? As that could be a big factor of why your “Laptop lagging heavily while Gaming” increase the ram to at least 16GB (get a kit of 2x 8GB DDR4-2666MHz SODIMM) or match/add another stick of 8GB DDR4 SODIMM ram to match your OEM ram so you can utilise and have “Dual Channel” mode which is much quicker. The Nitro 5 an515-42 can have a max ram capacity of 32GB of DDR4 SODIMM and it has 2x slots (2 banks of 1) for its ram, also install and check with CPUz for the existing OEM ram specs at “Memory” and “SPD #1” to match the exact specs of your upgrade of ram. Btw, I wouldn’t put a higher speed ram than DDR4-2666MHz on this laptop.

Also, have you got the latest AMD Radeon™ RX 560X driver? As it’s very unusual for a laptop that has a newly installed Win-10 and a new SSD to lag, it should improve all your response times! Maybe you haven’t setup your games properly or there could be numerous other problems? Give us more details of what the exact problem(s) are? As being very unspecific makes it very hard to advise you on anything!

Yes the RX560X Graphics is up to date. I have also selected the dedicated graphics setting for all the games in Windows Graphics settings. Still nothing is working. The games which are small in size runs for a few minutes & then start lagging while the games which are large in size are constantly lagging right from the start.
