Does Acer ePower Management Even Still Work? o.O

Hello all. I ran a fresh install of Windows 7 on my laptop. I reinstalled the Acer ePower Management software to re-familiarize myself with the application. The issue is it doesn't seem to have actually installed anywhere. I mean there's a folder in C:\Program Files\Acer\Acer ePower Management with some executables, .dlls & language folders but I can't get any of the .exes to to open any UI interface or find the program in start menu or applets in the Control Panel. So, my question is simple. What is it exactly used for anyway? Does it even still work or it now defunct & Acer has it available for download for nothing?
