    Aspire V3-471G

Did you do a complete install of Windows 8 or follow an upgrade using the Acer Upgrade Assistant?

When was the BIOS update completed relative to the Windows 8 installation?

Have you attempted to go back to Windows 7 to verify that Bluetooth is still working?

I would ask for you to attempt to reset startup defaults in BIOS to restore the functionality.

Please let me know if that is successful.

The only other option that I can suggest would be to reflash with the previous BIOS to attempt restoring functionality.

By chance, have you updated the Wireless LAN driver to v10.0.0.217 ?

If not, would you mind attempting that please?

As far as I know, there should be no reason for Bluetooth to be disabled after applying that BIOS update.  Especially if after reverting to a previous BIOS, the Bluetooth is still unavailable.

The only item I can suggest is to revert the system back to Windows 7 and see if Bluetooth is working in that OS.

OK, It's tough to do my reference to Windows 7
But if I've reference for Windows 7 and the problem still exists what can I do?

Note: Bluetooth was working on Windows 8 with update v1.22 BIOS

If the problem stil exists, something may have happened to the bluetooth chipset/card.

At that point, i would recommend contacting service center for additional assistance.
