Hello Guys,

Just bought my unit about 2 months ago. For the first 1month of usage I already logged 50 cycles of battery charges(using the command powercfg /batteryreport). I have read articles at a typical li-on battery lasts from 500-1000 cycles of charging before it lose a large amount its charging capacity. There was a youtuber stating that he would always set the limit ofax charge of his battery to 70-80 percent and keep his AC plugged in. With that being said, I opted to use his method to prolong battery life, luckily acer care center has an option to max the battery charging to 80percent (turned it on). So even when the battery is already at 80percent i will not remove the charger and my cycle count just went from 50 to 53 only for about 2-3 weeks of use. My question is, are there any cons using this type of technique? I mean wouldnt it damage the battery keeping it plugged even if it is already on 80percent?

Thanks!
