A couple people say you can turn the volume down on the monitor (assuming you aren't using the monitor speakers).

"like a lot of people I have this same problem and have been unable to find a fix (I have the CB280HK model). It has normally happened once every week or two and I just turn it off and back on. That was when I lived in SC. I just moved to CO and yesterday got my desktop unpacked and monitors hooked up. It has happened FIVE times this morning. Since it's much drier out in CO than in the humid coastal SC, I'm wondering if it actually might BE a static build up. There is a semi-fix though. If you turn down the volume on the monitor all the way to 0, you'll never hear it. Mine is actually going off right now (bumped up the sound to verify) but I can't hear anything with the volume turned all the way down. Not sure why this monitor has speakers at all and I sure as hell don't know why it has this siren feature. I too am baffled as to why another engineer would decide to put this feature in."
