What issues are you having with v1.03? Jack E/NJ

I'm looking for reasons why the instalation of Ubuntu 20.04.01 (in Uefi mode) with LVM and a separate /home goes that terribly slowly. Moreover, the for Win there is v1.14 so there are maybe some enhancements.

Highly unlikely and risky to assume a BIOS update will fix this issue. (1) What was the original factory installed operating system? (2) Do you have multiple drives and/or physical partitions? (3) Are the efi and boot partitions are the same drive? Jack E/NJ

I had to move to BIOS from UEFI to proceed with the installation. But I still would like to be on UEFI. Answering your questions:
    1. There was no OS pre-installed.
2.Yes, two drives. The one with OS has is partitioned. One partition is encrypted.
3.. Efi and boot are separated according to the manual I followed.

Moved from UEFI to what? Legacy mode? The installation media image must be booted in UEFI mode for GPT partitioned drives. Jack E/NJ

Yes, to Legacy. Ubuntu accepts gpt in Legacy.

And returning to the core question. Is there BIOS update for LINUX (Ubuntu)?

No, there is no BIOS update that specifically addresses Linux. The Ubuntu installation media image must be booted in UEFI mode, NOT legacy mode, for GPT partitioned drives. Jack E/NJ
