Hello,

I am looking for memory compatibility specs for Acer Aspire 3 A315-42G [A315-42G-R15E] (NX.HF8ER.02F).

Acer webpage for this model only states that RAM should be DDR4 without specification of work frequency (same information provided by store where the laptop was purchased).

https://www.acer.com/datasheets/2019/4876/A315-42G/NX.HF8ER.02F.html
https://shop.kz/offer/noutbuk-acer-aspire-a315-42g-nx-hf8er-02f/

The laptop was purchased with additional DDR4 2400 4GB memory module based on information collected from web site bellow, memory module was installed in service center to preserve warranty.

https://www.e-katalog.ru/ACER-A315-42G-R15E.htm

An attempt to install MS Windows 10 has failed on the laptop. Latter  a representative of service center informed us that memory module is a cause of the problem.

Service center representative (same company where laptop purchased) provided information that NX.HF8ER.02F model requires memory run at 3200MHz which we doubt as correct -- internet research for confirmation lead us to this website.

I need a confirmation that following RAM modules are compatible with this model
SO-DIMM 4Gb DDR4 PC19200/2400Mhz Apacer, BOX (ES.04G2T.KFH)
SO-DIMM 4Gb DDR4 PC21300/2666MHz Apacer, BOX

Thank you,
Polar Bear

    Ryzen 3 3200U web pages states DDR4 2400MHz 2 channels

    https://www.amd.com/en/products/apu/amd-ryzen-3-3200u

We do not understand why service center representative informed that DDR4 4GB 2400MHz module is a case MS Windows 10 could not be installed on the laptop. He suggested to replace memory module with DDR 3200MHz, we doubt that his suggestion is correct.

    Hi,
No, you shouldn't mix different speed memory modules, get 2x 2400MHz modules or 2x2666MHz modules.

The laptop is still under warranty and we can not see what original module came with the laptop as it would void warranty.

Out assumption is that Acer company would match CPU with Memory module according specification of CPU which states 'System memory 2400MHz 2 channel'

    https://www.amd.com/en/products/apu/amd-ryzen-3-3200u

Laptop specification (CPU Ryzen 3 3200U)

    https://www.acer.com/datasheets/2019/4876/A315-42G/NX.HF8ER.02F.html

Due information found for this laptop on following website was purchased 4GB DDR2 2400 memory module

    https://www.e-katalog.ru/ACER-A315-42G-R15E.htm

Our suspicion is that technician does not possess qualification to troubleshoot the problem. It become obvious after we find that they did not test memory at installation time (otherwise they would informed us about the issue at laptop pickup time).
