Recently purchased the laptop, warranty expiration and date of purchase don’t match up, but that is another problem.

As of yesterday evening  the laptop will not successfully turn on. Pressing the power button causes the keyboard to illuminate, I hear the fans kick on and spin for a few seconds and then silence. The keyboard stays illuminated but the laptop does nothing.

The blue light is on indicating the laptop is on and it is currently fully charged. I have no idea what to do, but it doesn’t seem good.

Yea I’ve tried power cycling the thing a whole bunch of times.

It just refuses to boot up.

And obviously because I can’t boot it up I can’t even backup my files before it gets sent in for repair.

Thankfully I only owned the laptop for 3 months, and at least I know better than to buy another Acer in the future.

I need to send it in for repair. But they are telling me to back the hard drive up prior to sending it in. I can’t power up the computer to backup the hard drive. If I open it up in order to get at the hard drive will I void the warranty?
