Hi,

I cracked the screen and recently replaced it - but prior to that was having issues with phantom touches.  I am running Win 10 with all the latest updates.

I saw in older forum posts where a BIOS update (or something like that) was available for haywire touchscreen hardware (the brain, somewhere...)  Can anyone help?  I have disabled the touchscreen for the time being, but prior to that, I had most functionality with the exception of some touch functions when browsers were in certain configurations (full screen vs not.)

Thanks,

Hi, I'm just following up with an extra piece of information.

I really like this laptop and would like to keep it.  If I can do a software/BIOS update, that would be great.  I am also in law school pursuing a second career, and it would mean a lot to me to get this function up and running again.

Many thanks in advance if you're able to help out.

There have been a few BIOS updates to your R5-571TG model since it's initial release, I see nothing about changes to the touchscreen with any of them. Is there a chance the case is a little warped? That can cause phantom touches due to pressure on the digitizer.
