Flickering screen

Hi, since I received my new acer laptop my 2nd screen - which has NEVER flickered before with my other brand Laptop - now flickers so badly that I can't use it. (Some days the screen works perfectly without flickering for about an hour, then suddenly the flickering starts so bad that the screen is black most of the time).
I urgently need this rectified as I have to use a 2nd screen- please assist with a solution.
I have "diagnosed" the 2nd screen and according to this, there's no problem.
What I can say - with the previous laptop I was able to directly attach the 2nd screen into the laptop - I now have to use an adaptor to plug the screen into the laptop

Does it flikcs when its conected to AC o when its not connected?

Yes, the 2nd screen only works when connected to power.0
