All of a sudden, the battery of my acer switch 5 is not charging anymore. I have a feeling this might be due to a windows update.

So, I went to device manager, uninstalled the two drivers (Microsoft ACPI-compliant control method battery and Microsoft AC Adapter), and restarted the computer. The drivers came back, and nothing changed: battery still isn't charging.0 -
Do you ave the tools to test the power supply? It's feasible for them to fail...

You could try a battery reset, though that means opening it up to disconnect the battery. The battery might have failed. but the fix for that also means opening it up. How comfortable are you with taking it apart?
