So after a full cleaning procedure, repaste with mx-4 arctic paste and an undervolt of -130.9mV this laptop still reaches temps near 100 C degrees. In the last 3 weeks the gpu shut down 5 times (last was today) i think for these temps. Since all those measures and a cooling fan underneath (klim cyclone) is there anything else i can do?

You have done most things that any of us would have suggested, Are you still under Warranty?

Unfortunately no: the warranty would have expired at the end of 2019, but i had already opened it for cleaning and repasting both cpu and gpu

Have you checked that your fans are working? Also you might have done a bad repaste job so checkout this video

i repasted it following that same video and with the help of a friend of mine that used to work for a custom pc shop. Fans should be working properly since i can feel the hot air coming out from the back. It seems i'm out of options for this one

Are you sure that your VN7-593G-71UZ gets to 100c? That is really critical temps! The simplest solution is for you to buy a suction vacuum cooler (but they don't last long, I've had one and they don't last) which is placed at the side vents (which on the VN7-593G-71UZ are pretty minimal and do not vent properly) but and also, if you want even more superficial cooling then, you can have an addition of a good laptop cooling pad. These are easy solutions that will extract and reduce your temps by at least 10c plus, not a drastic solution to a laptop that hits 100c!

In my experience, you should modify the bottom case, to make the VN7-593G-71UZ more efficiently and disperse heat (be aware that this is a major modification to the bottom case) with extra cooling vents placed strategically and at certain position to not interfere with any components. This is what I've done to my V3-571G which well known to overheat (with 2x 50mm round vent holes covered with plastic mesh) into the bottom case and the overheating was reduced by 30c. I've also added a laptop pad cooler to this modification and its reduced the temps by 40c, especially when I'm playing games, not that the V3-571G can play any sophisticated modern games lol. Good luck and let us know what's happening.

Thanks for the info, i guess i'll have to modify the lower case; for the temps yes i'm sure (i use both HW monitor and throttlestop), i'm already using a cooling pad but since the case it's almost close below it doesn't work properly. I'll watch some tutorials and get down to work, thanks again

Did anyone have any issues with getting the cooling system off to apply the thermal paste? I cannot unscrew the screws tat are in place by any means! Are they held in by other screws or is there a way to unlock them? Almost seems like they are glued in. Other options was to try and get a new cooling system all together but that now also wont go...

I know it is hot outside, but with a cooling pad, the fans on 100%, under clocking and volting the GPU and turning my CPU performance to 80% voltage, I still IDLE at 80 degrees and I have seen it go up to 100 under load. At this point I cannot even play DOOM (not even Eternal, the first "new" one) at LOW settings at more then 15 FPS... the only time I can play for 15 minutes at a capped 30 FPS is when I unplug and play on battery.

Did not find any problem detaching the cooling system : try searching for online video guides with the specific model number. For me there where 4 or 5 screws holding the cooling system in place - note that some screws can be unscrewed but not removed completely - and don't forget to detach the fan connectors. Also i think the screws holding the system in place were numbered on the metal elements with indicators !

Have the exact same problem, GPU is overheating massively when i attach an external monitor, even with OEM drivers. So even when workingwith a simple word file the temperature can get up to 90-95°...
