I just bought a predator helios 300 new a few days ago and used it only 3 or 4 days - but i keep getting the dreaded "blue screen of death" (NMI HARDWARE FAILURE) - 1st time while updating windows and nvidia drivers several days ago and yesterday, it occured 3 times. The errors occured while in windows but not in a gaming session or under heavy load. What are my options to fix this? Or have I got an actual hardware fault?

    What is your window version?

Microsoft’s new KB4556799 Windows 10 update is causing a myriad of problems for users, including Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) crashes, deleted data, performance issues, broken audio and more

Check if you are installing that KB4556799 update?

Thanks for responding. I use windows 10 version 1909 - I have checked my update history and no update KB4556799 is showing there. So I don't know what to do. Maybe I should just reinstall windows?

PeteJamss best way to solve any bsod stock recovery clean install ALT+F10 on boot and select delete everything option to completely rule out any software issues it will be back to the first day you booted it but backup anything u need to first check here for the exact explanation of that bsod you can also get bluescreen viewer and identify exactly whats causing it good luck :)

PeteJamss try to create a stock recovery usb drive if needed via safe mode you need a 16gb usb drive and use the usb drive to reinstall windows if u cant get into safe mode via normal ways enable the old F8 legacy boot menu via cmd first as microsoft disabled it on win10 then its easy i learned the hard way playing with undervolting better have it always enabled to get out of bsods bootloop/freezes due to too much undervolt good luck :)

    bcdedit /set {identifier} bootmenupolicy Legacy

Thank you, i will try that...but tell me, can too much undervolt cause bsods? I did have my undervolt via throttlestop set at 0.160mv - then i got the bsod. I reduced it down to 0.140 and then eventually down to 0.130 but still got the bsod. Right now, i have done a system restore and its back to default but i did update the driver for the intel iGPU and now got a prompt to install windows 10 ver 2004. Currently i have no undervolt in place at the moment
